Manifestation in Practice – Aligning Your Energy with What You Truly Desire

How to Manifest - Tranquilmindcommunity.com

Manifestation is a word we hear often, and yet it’s one of the most misunderstood aspects of energy work.

In this month’s newsletter, we began exploring the idea that manifestation isn’t really about getting things, it’s about aligning with the feeling of what we desire. Now, let’s take that a little deeper and look at how this actually plays out in everyday life.

Moving Beyond the Idea of “Wanting”

One of the most common patterns I see (and one we all fall into at times) is this:

We focus on what we don’t have.

  • “I need more money.”

  • “I wish I had a better job.”

  • “I can’t keep going like this.”

These thoughts feel natural, especially when something in life genuinely needs to change. But energetically, they carry a frequency of lack, frustration, or even fear.

And here’s the important part:
Your energy doesn’t respond to your words—it responds to your state.

So even if you’re saying, “I want something better,” your energy might still be communicating, “I am stuck,” “I don’t have enough,” or “things aren’t working.”

This is where the shift begins.

Real-Life Example: Money

Let’s take money as a starting point.

Imagine two people:

Person A is constantly worried about money. They check their bank account with anxiety, think about bills frequently, and feel a sense of pressure around spending. Even when they receive money, the feeling is relief rather than joy—and it quickly turns back into worry.

Person B may be in a similar financial position, but they consciously practise appreciation. They acknowledge what they do have, express gratitude when money comes in (no matter how small), and allow themselves to feel a sense of trust—even if they don’t yet know exactly how things will improve.

From an energetic perspective, these are very different places to be.

Person A is reinforcing the experience of lack.
Person B is cultivating a sense of enoughness.

And over time, this difference matters.

Person B becomes more open—more able to notice opportunities, make clearer decisions, and feel confident in taking action. It’s not just about “thinking positively”—it’s about creating an internal state that supports movement forward.

Real-Life Example: Career

Now let’s look at work.

If you’re in a job that feels unfulfilling, it’s easy to focus on everything that’s wrong:

  • “I hate this job.”

  • “I feel stuck.”

  • “There’s nothing else out there for me.”

Again, completely understandable—but energetically restrictive.

Now imagine approaching it differently.

You begin to identify what you do value:

  • The skills you’ve developed

  • The people you’ve met

  • The strengths you’ve discovered in yourself

You start to connect with the feeling of growth, possibility, or even curiosity about what might come next.

From this space, something shifts.

You might feel inspired to explore a new course, update your CV, or have a conversation you hadn’t considered before. Opportunities often don’t appear when we are tightly focused on what we dislike - they tend to emerge when we create space for something new.

Real-Life Example: Relationships

Manifestation also shows up powerfully in relationships.

If someone is seeking a new relationship, they might focus on loneliness:

  • “I don’t want to be alone anymore.”

  • “Why haven’t I met the right person?”

This energy can feel heavy, even if it’s unspoken.

Now compare that to someone who begins to cultivate the feeling of connection within their own life:

  • Nurturing friendships

  • Enjoying their own company

  • Engaging in activities that bring genuine joy

They begin to embody the feeling of connection, rather than searching for someone to provide it.

This doesn’t mean they no longer desire a relationship, it means they are no longer coming from a place of needing one to feel whole.

And that shift changes everything.

The Role of Awareness

None of this is about pretending everything is perfect.

It’s not about ignoring challenges or forcing yourself to feel something you don’t. Instead, it’s about becoming aware of where your energy is sitting, and gently guiding it somewhere more supportive.

Ask yourself:

  • What am I focusing on most right now?

  • How does that focus feel in my body?

  • Is this state helping me move forward, or keeping me where I am?

Even small shifts matter.

A moment of gratitude.
A pause before reacting.
A conscious decision to look for what is working.

These are all ways of beginning to realign your energy.

Energy First, Action Second

One of the biggest misconceptions about manifestation is that it replaces action.

It doesn’t.

What it does is change the quality of your action.

When your energy is aligned, when you feel grounded, open, and connected, your actions tend to be clearer, calmer, and more effective. You’re less likely to act from panic or pressure, and more likely to make choices that truly support you.

This is where Reiki can be such a powerful companion to manifestation work.

By supporting your energy system, calming the mind, and bringing you back into balance, Reiki helps you access the very states that allow manifestation to unfold more naturally.

A Gentle Practice to Begin

If you’d like to start working with this more consciously, try something simple:

At the end of each day, reflect on one thing you appreciated.

Not something you wish had happened—
but something that did.

Allow yourself to really feel that appreciation, even if only for a few moments.

This small practice begins to shift your focus… and where your focus goes, your energy flows.

Manifestation isn’t about controlling life, it’s about participating in it more consciously.

It’s about recognising that your internal world plays a powerful role in shaping your external experience.

And most importantly, it’s about remembering that you are not separate from what you seek, you are already in relationship with it, through your energy.

We’ll continue exploring this together in future teachings and shares. Until then, be gentle with yourself, stay curious, and notice what begins to shift.
